My favourite cleansers!

Skin care is a big part of my daily routine, to me it's as important as brushing your teeth! I feel clean and refreshed after washing my face every morning and evening. That is why it may seem like I have too many cleansers, but I promise I use them all! Each one of my cleansers have their own role in my skin care.

The Exfoliator
Yes To Carrots: Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
This exfoliator is an all rounder for me. It has natural ingredients (for the most part), lasts forever and keeps my skin hydrated! Everything I want out of an exfoliator. The smell is also an added bonus, it's delicious!
Applying this exfoliator is an easy and simple process, you know the usual scrub and rinse. But what really attracts me to it is the feeling of my skin after using this product. After I've dried my face, my skin feels as smooth as a baby's bottom! Even though I have slightly oily to normal skin, I pick up the Normal to Dry skin exfoliator as I believe our skin (no matter how oily) alsways needs a bit of hydration.

The Morning Cleanser
Clean & Clear: Morning Energy Skin Energising Daily Facial Wash
This is my simple morning cleanser. I bought this after being persuaded by the packaging which claims that the bursting beads brighten your complexion. This is definitely something I could use in the mornings when my skin is at its worst.
I believe that this cleanser does exactly what it says on the bottle! (Quite rare, I know)
After using this cleanser my face feels refreshed and awake. This is something that I feel is important for my mornings as I really do need whatever I can get to help me wake up.
Overall I think that this is a worthwhile product and its quite inexpensive as it can be picked up at most drugstores like Boots.

The 'Everyday' Cleanser
No.7: Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser
This little beauty is my basic, everyday cleanser. It is kind to my skin and just helps salvage it from a hard day. I have it in Normal/Oily as I've said, I do have slightly oily skin.
This cleanser, by far, is the BEST smelling one ever! It may not be attractive to other people as it is quite like a perfumed-alcohol scent. But as it says on the bottle is it hypo-allergenic so it shouldn't irritate the skin.
I find this foaming cleanser easy to use as it has a simple pump that immediately dispenses a good amount of foam cleanser. I like how easy it is to smooth it over the skin and rinse it off as it is not a gel formula.
I've also been using this for a few months and am only a quarter of the way through the bottle! So, this product is definitely long-lasting.

The Shower Cleanser

Soap & Glory: Face Soap and Clarity 3 in 1 Daily-Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash
It may sound strange that I have a face cleanser especially for my shower but it beats having to remember to bring one everytime I go in to the show. I also chose a cleanser that would cleanse my skin a little more deeply than my No.7 face wash.
I generally use this face wash every second shower and it isn't really anythign special. It's just an inexpensive one I bought at Boots for the shower. It is one of the less luxurious ones on the marker but I refuse to fork out €30-40 for something I'm washing down the drain!

Review: Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Lush is well known for their wide variety of Face Masks. Hearing so much about them (and the persuasion of a shop assistant) I just had to invest in one.
When I first had a smell of this chocolate scented face mask, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to handle it slathered all over my face. It is a very strong smell and if you don't like the smell of mint chocolate then I wouldn't recommend this for you.

This face mask claims to help oily and teenage skin by absorbing excess oil and calming breakouts. It contains cocoa butter, linseed and cocoa powder with peppermint, spearmint and sandalwood oils. I love all the natural ingredients that make this face mask so yummy!
This face mask is to be kept in the fridge and lasts around a month (depending on when you bought it).

It's very easy to use, as with all face masks, you simply have to apply a generous amount all over your face ( if the scent is too strong for you, I would skip under your nose). You can use it up to 3 times a week. I have normal/sensitive skin so I would only use it once a week as it can be rough on my skin.

During: I used this while I was in the bath, which I soon found to be a bad idea. The heat of the bath and the heavy face mask made me very uncomfortable. It was a very soothing, cool feeling when I first applied this to my face. It didn't dry up or crack either which I loved!

Removal: The removal of this face mask was surprisingly easy. I usually have a battle getting off a face mask and end up scrubbing so hard that my face turns into a tomato. I used a damp cloth to remove it and it came off with one swipe. Off course I had to rub around hard to reach areas (nose, mouth, etc.) but all together it was a simple, 1 minute removal process.

After: Once the face mask was completely rubbed off, my skin was left feeling soothed and smooth. My cheeks were a little red but I have very sensitive skin around there and all face masks leave a bit of redness. The next day I found that some spots I had been trying desperately to get rid of, had lost their redness and calmed down. An overall good result in my opinion.

After using this face mask I immediately knew that this was going to be a favourite of mine. Out of 10 I would give it a 9, considering how well it helped my skin. I believe it did calm my breakouts which is a miracle! I will be repurchasing this in the future.

Haul!!

So this is what I bought! It doesn't look like much but anyways.
I went to the Benefit counter and treated myself to an Ultra Plush Lipgloss in Bella Bamba, I got a tester for one of their face washes and because it was their first day open in Boots I got a free eye make up lesson with a catalogue!
Because it's nearly time for back to school, I got myself a School year diary (August '12 to August '13). I chose this one because it's small and will fit anywhere.
I also got a 2-pack of Simple Face Wipes which I will definitely have to review. They are amazing!
I got the Garnier Fructis Bamboo Flexihold Hairspray which I haven't used yet so there's not much to say about it. I usually get the L'oreal Hairspray but it wasn't in stock.
In River Island I got these gorgous wine coloured High-Waisted Jeans. I've worn these twice since I bought them and I have to say they are THE comfiest jeans I have ever worn!

At the Faces Counter I got this Casmetio Train Case. I have looked all over the internet for somewhere you can get this but I can't find it. If you know of a Faces counter then you might find it there. It's very big and can hold a lot of Products. You can also remove those ring things in the drawers.
Here's what it looks like closed.

I was so excited to get this! It's the Benefit Ultra Plush Lipgloss in Bella Bamba. I tried it on at the counter and fell in love with it. I'll be putting up a full review of this very soon (yes, it's that good that it gets it's own review).
A swatch of Bella Bamba. I absolutely love the berry color, perfect for Autumn!

Favourite Primers

My favourite primers!

Smashbox - Foundation Primer

Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Mac - Bare Study Paint Pot

Swatches in order like above ^

Smashbox Foundation Primer has been my favourite all over primer for a very long time. It is a product that Smashbox are famous for. It leaves a matt and smooth finish that leaves your face looking flawless once foundation is added.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a widely used product that has been reviewed over and over again. It is a great eyeshadow primer that doesn't crease and brightens the eye area. I only have the mini version right now because my large one ran out. That's how much I love it!

Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study is a product I have only recently picked up. I have only had it about a week so I feel it isn't fair if I review from just a few uses. I have to say though, this product can be used on its own or as a base for eyeshadow. Either way it looks amazing and lasts all day!

New Mac Nudes

Mac Frost Liptsick - Angel
Mac Glaze Lipstick - Hue

Recently, I have been on the look out for the perfect nude. I was ecstatic when I found not only one, but two amazing nude colours!

Angel is a Frost so it is nicely pigmented without being too dramatic on the lips. I personally love the texture of Frost Lipsticks as they are pretty moisturising. Angel is a nude-pink colour so it is perfect for an easy every-day look.

Hue is a Glaze. Glaze Lipsticks aren't my favourite of the bunch but this particular one stands out. It's a nude colour with just a hint of pink.If you're very tan then this colour may wash you out. It is very moisturing but I have noticed that after an hour or so, some of the colour gathers on the bottom of my lip. Other than that, this lipsticks is perfect and will be a favourite of mine for a very long time!

Thanks,
Chilly x

Benefit - Ultra Plush Lip Gloss

Recently, Benefit has brought out a new line of lip glosses. These lip glosses are specifically made to match Benefits Box O' Powders, as the matching lipgloss has the same name as the Box O' Powder. I haven't had a chance to try any out yet, as they have literally only come out a day or two ago in my local Benefit counter.
I'll be sure to pick up a few. I'm particularly excited about the Bella Bamba lip gloss, as that is by far my favorite of the Benefit Box O' Powders.
I'd love to hear about anyone who has tried these yet.
